Woodstock meets worship?

June 24th, 2011 by Beth A. Lewis

Ok, that might be a bit of a stretch. But, there is definitely something exciting happening this week at the Wild Goose Festival an outdoor festival in Shakori Hills, North Carolina (outside of Chapel Hill).

Why the name Wild Goose? Their website says “Wild Goose is a Celtic metaphor for the Holy Spirit” and that this is “a festival of justice, spirituality, music and the arts.”

Why do we care?

We care because Clayfire, our forthcoming worship resource from sparkhouse is one of the sponsors of this event! It’s our first big public promo for this resource!

But, while this is our first big Clayfire public event, the buzz has been growing about Clayfire. You can get a sense of it by reading our free blog site, ClayfireCurator.org

Or, you can sign up for more information about Clayfire (which will be ready for launch in late July) on Clayfire.org

Or, we encourage you to become a Clayfire fan on Facebook and/or follow @Clayfire via Twitter.

And, just in case camping out in North Carolina isn’t enough fun for our Clayfire launch team, next week, they’ll fly across country to host our energizing“Art of Curating Worship” event at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA.

This resource is a long time coming, but from the sneak peek previews I have seen, it is definitely worth the wait!

Wild Goose? Oh, yes….I definitely think the Spirit is moving to refresh and reinvigorate worship and we get to help worshiping communities embrace that energy through the launch of Clayfire!

Blessings,

Beth
