Book of Faith Social Networking Site Tops 1200 participants!

October 30th, 2008 by Beth A. Lewis

Have you joined the FREE Book of Faith social networking (also known as “Ning”) site yet? Over 1200 people from throughout the ELCA have joined and are sharing ideas for increasing biblical fluency within their congregations. And, there are over 50 groups that have formed as subsets of this site. There are synod groups, Book of Faith advocates, WELCA groups, campus ministry groups, congregations, and more!

Among the recent submissions that you may find of interest are a posting from yesterday that provides Book of Faith worship resources, such as PowerPoint backgrounds to download for free!

And, Dawn Rundman, has started a conversation about Opening the Book of Faith with Kids. Dawn is an expert on child development, so this if you have a passion for passing on our faith to the next generation, you’ll want to check out this conversation from time to time!

There is also a place to post Book of Faith events that are happening in your congregation or synod or on your college or seminary campus! Or, check out the events that are posted that you might want to attend. Right now, there are postings from the Metro New York Synod, Trinity Lutheran Church in Rolling Meadows, IL, and more!

So, join the fun! Open Scripture! Join the Conversation!
